Below you find some information about the SATs for Year 2. Have a good read of the information and remember the SAT's Zoom and how we will go about tackling them.
There are lots of practise worksheets and games below for you and the children to have a look at and practise freely at home as well as the booklet that we have already sent.

Here are some Maths arithmetic booklets that contain similar style questions to those contained in the arithmetic paper of the SATs. We practise these styles of questions nearly everyday in school when we do the Fast 5 and talk about the strategies to work them out Remember to ask your child to use the strategies when working them out to ensure they get the right answer if you are going to use them.
SpellingI've put the Common Exception words as a list on to Spelling Shed. The children need to spell as many of these as they can correctly when they write independently. I have also reassigned some of the other lists that have been used over the year. You can access them by clicking the link below.

Below there are 4 fiction and 4 non-fiction reading comprehensions that you may wish to do with your child. In school we read the text and then read the questions afterwards. After that, we read the text and highlight any areas that will be useful to us when answering the questions.
GrammarLots of grammar to be learned in KS1 and applied within their own writing. I've put a handy list of games below that should be good fun for practise and then added some short tasks to apply their learning afterwards.
